How big is the book?

Our hardcover book is 8½ inches wide by 10 inches tall and is printed on high-quality enamel stock paper.

Do I get a preview of my personalized book?

Yes, you will see a sample on our website before you order the book. We know you will love what you see and will be excited about your book!

Personalization

What if my dog has a really long name?

In order to make everything fit, the name of your dog is limited to 15 characters (that also applies to human dog owner names).

I don’t see my specific breed.

The illustrations are not breed specific. Just choose the one that most resembles your dog as the “Star Dog.” We will continue to add new illustrations as the Doggy Door Chronicles grows in awareness and popularity.

Can I have more than one dog for my story?

The story only accommodates one “Star Dog.” You know, of course, that every dog considers themselves to be a member of the family, so there are separate books for each “Star.”

Ordering, Shipping & Returns

How long does it take to receive my book?

From the time you order your book, it will be shipped to you in a week to 10 days.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

For more than one book going to the same address:

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship only within the continental United States. Currently, we only ship within the United States. Please contact us so we can notify you when we offer this option.

I would like to place multiple orders as gifts. These orders will go to different addresses.

You will need to place your orders individually to ensure that books are not mixed up with the wrong shipping address. Each book order will be printed, processed, and shipped separately. There is a $4.95 delivery charge per individual order; the shipping charge is waived for individual orders over $60.00. Please contact us and ask if a shipping adjustment would be allowed.

What if I want to return or change my book after I get it?

Returns after receiving the order – If your book is damaged in the printing process or shipping, contact us and we will send you a brand new book. However, if nothing is actually wrong with the finished product – since you were able to see a sample of the book featuring your personalized dog – then returns/refunds are not accepted.

Changes – If you need to change any of the personalized aspects of the book after it is ordered, please email or call us so we can discuss the changes. Ship the book back at your own expense, and you are charged 50% of the original price plus shipping to remake and reship the order.

To avoid disappointment, please ensure that the item you are ordering is correct. Our books are tailor-made just for you and your dog. Once the order is placed, we are unable to change or cancel the order as production starts immediately. If you have any questions regarding the ordering process, please contact us.

Are gift certificates available so I can order one for my friend?

Yes! A Doggy Door Chronicle book is a perfect gift for friends or family. Please contact us for delivery options.

I am sending this as a gift. Do you include an invoice or something that would show the price?

No, we don’t include an invoice or price of the book with the package.
